The Perrin brothers arrived from France in the 18th century. The goal of their voyage was to seek zones favorable with the culture of the coffee, cotton, indigo and dyewood like the campêche for the extention of the trade.
After their prospections through the South of the French part of the island, one of them established in Jacmel, two other two settled in the plain of Jacob, now knowh as plain of les Cayes. Of the two brothers Perrin, Champlois and Saint-Aubain, the latter created this dwelling called High-Camp or Camp-Perrin.
Camp-Perrin is habitated by 36,000 people
